Intro

We recently completed this polished concrete floor in Leeds, Yorkshire for a large residential extension. The client was looking for a practical and durable finish that would suit everyday family life.

Project

The floor was installed throughout the entire extension, including the kitchen, dining and living areas.

As with many of our projects where there are many hundreds of miles all communication was done remotely. This included guiding the client through all the necessary substrate preparation, providing samples to help with the final colour choice, and providing any guidance they needed on the lead up to the installation of the floor

Process

The property was located on a hilly residential cul-de-sac, so extra care was taken during delivery to ensure the existing driveway and surrounding area were protected.

The simple L-shaped layout allowed the floor to be poured in one go, creating a seamless finish throughout. As with all of our projects, the floor was then covered to allow the client to continue with the rest of their build, before we returned just prior to handover to complete the sanding and sealing process.

Result

The end result is a clean, seamless floor that works perfectly for modern family living.

Combined with underfloor heating, the polished concrete provides a durable, low-maintenance surface that will perform for many years to come.
